Angelina Lombardo Oufnac

October 21, 1929 ~ June 13, 2021 (age 91)

Obituary

Angelina Marie Lombardo Oufnac received the gift of eternal life surrounded by her family at the age of 91 on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

Angelina, fondly known as “Angie” by her friends and family, was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge where she raised her six children. Angie was a fantastic cook who enjoyed making delicious Italian dishes for her family and friends, homemade Italian fig cookies for the St. Joseph’s Altar, and lots of homemade Italian Sausage that she would share with everyone. Angie was also an avid fisherman and made many trips with her husband and children and shared that love of fishing with her grandchildren. She loved traveling, bowling, and playing Pokeno with her lifelong friends, but what she loved most of all was being a devoted wife, a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and a loyal friend. Family was her life and will be her legacy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace & James Lombardo; her husband, Herman A. Oufnac; her eldest son, Herman J. Oufnac; daughter in law, Loxie R. Oufnac; brother Anthony Lombardo and wife Lena Mae; sister, Catherine Couvillon and husband Arthur; and brother CJ (Carl) Lombardo.

She is survived by Jeanette Oufnac Hidalgo (Dale), Peggy Oufnac Heck, James (Jimmy) Oufnac, Steve Oufnac (Patti), and Carol Oufnac Mahan (Carl), 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Kathleen D. Oufnac, and special friends, Molly Dupuy (deceased), Josie Milazzo (deceased), Maggie Waguespack, Gladys Kolb, and Mary Ann Burton.
